Retailers Urge An Intensified Immigration
TIMARU, Last Year (PA).- A desire for an intensified immigration policy was expressed by the annual conference of the New Zealand Retailers’ Federation.
On Ihe motion of Mr. A. L. George it was resolved to request the Prime Minister to include married couples with children, and also children in the age and occupational groups being encouraged to emigrate to the Domin-
ion. The conference expressed concern at the gradual diminution of the labour pool and considered that a revised immigration policy along the lines suggested would tend to ease the present difficulties.
