Large Attendance At St Paul’s to Hear Dr. Dudley And Rev. Brash
The account of a conference at Amsterdam which formally brought into existence the World Council of Churches, was given by Dr. Raymond Dudley and the Rev. A. A. Brash, both formerly of Wanganui. The addresses were ’given in St. Paul’s Church, under the aegis of the Council of Christian Congregations.
The attendance was so great that the meeting was transferred from the hall to the church. However, extra seating had to be provided in the church vestibule, to accommodate the large congregation. The chair was taken by the Rev. N. R. Wood, president of the Wanganui Council of Christian Congregations.
