Wanganui R.S.A. Bowling Tournament; Draw For Saturday
Next Saturday a bowling four is to be found to represent the Returned Services Association in the Wanganui Bowling Centre at the Dominion R.S.A. tournament at Christchurch. Sixteen rinks have entered for the Wanganui elimination tournament, which is to be played on the R.S.A. green, Wanganui, next Saturday, starting at 8.45 am. Bowls which must bear a 1942 stamp (or later) are to be inspected on the green sharp at 8.30 a.m. Following is the draw: First round: Hampton v Stuart, Littlejohn v Harris, Green v Howie, Goldstone v Toop, Oxley v Holmes, Martin v Cosgrove, Booth v Fowler, Johnsn v Duncan.
Second round: Littlejohn v Holmes, Green v Cosgrove, Goldstone v Fowler, Oxley v Duncan, Martin v Stuart, Booth v Harris, Johnson v Howie, Hampton v Topp. Third round: Booth v Cosgrove, Johnson v Fowler, Hampton v Duncan, Littlejohn v Stuart. Green v Harris, Goldstone v Howie, Oxley v Toop, Martin v Holmes. Fourth round: Green v Fowler, Goldstone v Duncan, Oxley v Stuart, Martin v Harris, Booth v Howie, Johnson v Toop, Hampton v Holmes. Littlejohn v Cosgrove. Fifth round: Oxley v Howie, Martin V Toop, Booth v Holmes, Johnson v Cosgrove, Hampton v Fowler, Littlejohn v Duncan, Green v Stuart, Goldstone v Harris. As the Returned Servicemen’s green will be fully occupied with tournament players, members of the Servicemen’s Club who are not in the tournament may play at St. John’s Club’s green in the afternoon.
