Communist Party In N.Z. Is Preparing For General Elections
WELLINGTON, Last Night (PA>.— "The national executive of the Communist Party has announuced its plans for the forthcoming general elections, subject to any electoral agreements which may be concluded with the Labour Party cr Democratic Labour Party,” says a statement issued today by the Communist Party. The following electorates will be definitely contested: Arch Hill, Auckland Central (Auckland >. Island Bay. Brooklyn and Petone (Wellington); Christchurch Central, and Mornington (Dunedin). The following electorates are under consideration and a final decision will be made shortly: Western Suburbs and Ponsonby (Auckland); Napier. Miramar, Wellington Central, or Onslow (Wellingotn), Riccarton and Westland.
