China Under The Dominance Of Communists Would Free Russia To Fight A War In Europe

NEW YORK, Jan. 15 (Rec. 8 pm).—The start of a third world war depended on whether China became a Communist State, according to a retired Air Force officer, Major-General Claire Chcnnault.

He expressed this opinion in a letter written from Shanghai on January 8 to Captain William White, of Palm Beach, Florida, director of War Birds International. Major-General Chennault said: "If China is communised Russia and her satellite Communist States will be free to start a third world war In Europe whenever they feel like shooting. The Communists will follow a well prepared long-term plan. They are keeping our attention on Europe white supporting the Chinese Communists in the conquest of China. We have nothing to date, including the Marshall Plan, which embarrasses or threatens their plans in any way.
