Forces Of Communism And Capitalism Must Be Reconciled
LONDON. Nov. 30. (Recd. 8.10 pm). - Former Director of lhe United Nations Food and Agricultural Organisation, Sir John Boyd Orr, drew cheers from listeners at the Central Hall. Westminster, when he said that if there* was less talk of war and fear of war there would not bo war. He said the great forces of Communism and Capitalism had to be reconciled. Twenty-live years of peace would resolve all difficulties. The Soviet Union would realise that Capitalism was indigenous to countries like the United States and could not be destroyed from without, and Capitalist countries would come to realise that Russia had a totally different background. The day of great empires exploited by small European countries was finished.
