U.S. Industrial Production Reaches Record

WASHINGTON, Nov. 29 (Reed. (.20 pm).—The Federal Reserve Board reported tonight that United States industrial production reached a peacetime record in October. The board’s production index increased three points to 95 per cent, above the 193539 average. The previous peak had been 94 per cent, in February. A 4 per cent, rise in steel mill activity to nearly 100 per cent, of capacityhelped produce a new record motorcar production and also set a new post-war peak production of copper.
