Auckland Hospital To Lose Its Medical Superintendent

AUCKLAND. Last Night (PA).— The Medical Superintendent of the Auckland Hospital (Dr. J. W. Craven) has decided to resign from .the position for health reasons. His resignation, which takes effect from March 31 next, was accepted with regret by the Auckland Hospital Board tonight. He has been superintendent at the hospital since 1932. In his letter to the hoard. Dr. Craven said that it would appear, from a medical examination, that, as the result of his experience as a prisoner of war in Singapore for three and a-half years, he had suffered more than he-had realised.
