For the four-day summer meeting at El erslie the handicapper wil have some huge fields on which to exercise his judgment, and it would be a marvel if he were to come through without being criticised. The entries include a two-year-old event with 106 nominations, but that is only a poor second to a hack race for which 154 entries have been received. Th? increase in the size of fie ds already too big appears to synchronise with a downward trend in totalisator turnovers.
