Dense Fog In Britain Causes Dislocation
LONDON, Nov. 27 (Rec. 6 pm).— A dense fog covered many parts of Britain today, causing race meetings and football matches to be abandoned, grounding air-liners at London’s airports. and dislocating road and rail Middlesex firemen had to run in relays with hurricane lamps and torches in front of engines going to pres. Many motorists abandoned cars In north-west London. A lifeboat has gone to the assistance of an unknown vessel reported ashore in the fog in Bridlington Bay, near the village of Barnston.
