Wanganui Proctor Chartered For Mercy Flight
The Wanganui Aero Club’s Percival Proctor- was used on Saturday to convey a seriously ill person from Hamilton an Palmerston North. The Proctor, flown by the club's instructor (Mr. G. A. Delves) flew to Palmerston North, where a burse was awaiting the plane. The flight was then made to Rukuhia, near Hamilton, where the patient, who was a stretcher case, was picked up and the return flight made to Palmerston North. The Proctor has been used on a number of occasions for the transport of seriously ill peonle, and on three or four occasions it has been chartered by the Palmerston North Hospital Board for the conveyance of serious brain cases to Dunedin.
