High-Ranking Military Specialists Arrive From Australia

AUCKLAND, Last Night (PA.) A team of high-ranking specirfists from the Australian militaw forces and the Royal Australian Air Force were met on arrival at Whenuapai on Saturday by some of the Dominion officers of the three services, who will be undergoing lectures and instruction from the party. The Australians arrived in a R.A.A.F. Lincoln bomber which will be used in demonstrations of supply dropping. The commanding officer of the Royal New Zealand Air Force station at'Whenuapai, Group Captain F. R. Newell, welcomed the three senior officers, Air-Commodore A. M. Charlesworth, in charge o£ the party, Brigadier C. H. O’Brien, and Colonel R. G. Pollard. The other six members are WingCommander D. R. Chapman, WingCommander J. F. Lush, Colonel C. A. E. Fraser, Lieutenant N. Hallett, R.N., Flight-Lieutenant D. St. John, and Captain L. J. Lewson.. A refresher course of two weeks lor regular force officers has been arranged by the Northern Military District headquarters, and Air Force and naval officers will be attached to the Army for co-operative exercises. The Australian narty will give lectures illustrated by American and British films at Whenuapai, Papakura, Wigram, and Ohakea. The team will travel to Wigram m the Lincoln bomber on Wednesday, and on to Ohakea on Friday. They return to Australia on December 9.
