Manawatu Entries Due This Afternoon
For the Manawatu Racing Club's summer meeting, to be held on December 18, 27 and 28. nominations are due to close at 5 p.m. today with the secretary Mr. J. A. McDonell, Palmerston North. Principal event is the Manawatu Cup, with a stake of £2OOO. and the main handicaps on the second day (Boxing Day) and the third day are the Louisson Memorial (£1400) and the Freyberg Handicap (£1200) respectively).
