Russia Stops Buying Malayan Rubber, Fears She Has Been Swindled
SINGAPORE. Nov. 26 (Rec. 10.5 p.m.)- Russia’s suspicion that Malayan rubber exporters have been swindling her was contributed to a fall in the price of rubber by six Straits cents a lb. since the beginning of the month, says Singapore rubber circles. Russia has practically suspended purchases because she recently complained that only poor quality "rubber was arriving at Odessa instead of the high grades ordered and tested in Malaya. Russian representatives think dockside substitutions by Chinese exporters have been occurring. Russia is Malaya’s third best customer after the United States and the United Kingdom.
