£75 From Bring And Buy For Crippled Children; Jugs £38
Brisk business was done at the “bring and buy” held by the Women’s Auxiliary of the Wanganui Crippled Children’s Society in the Red Cross rooms yesterday. Approximately £75 was realised. The sale of the antique and other jugs realised about £3B. About twothirds of the collection of 130 were sold. All ojJier goods were sold out, these bringing in about £4O. Mrs. Uttley was the convener and the helpers were: Jumble, Mesdarnes A. B. Currin (in charge), and Piner; white elephant, Mesdames A. McPhail and F. Melody; produce, Mrs. Simmons in charge; cakes and sweets, Mrs, Morgan; sewing, Miss Goldsbury. The antique jugs were set out in a separate room with Mesdames J. C. Small. A. H. Mac Lean and Nutt in charge. The convener expressed thanks to the helpers and those who donated the goods.
