Passengers On Ship Isolated; Probably Have Typhoid

SYDNEY, Oct. 29 (Rec. 11.10 p.m.) Five passengers of the migrant ship Charlton Sovereign, which reached Sydney lale today, with 700 displaced persons aboard, have been put into hospital isolation. Three are believed to be typhoid cases. The shin’s surgeon said two men and a girl became ill with typhoid symptoms after the ship left Batavia 10 days . They were immediately isolated and precautions taken to prevent the disease spreading. The ship has not beer, quarantined and the remainder of the passengers are leaving Sydney tonight for the immigration centre at Bal hurst. •
