Gallipoli Veterans Hold Annual Meeting; Election Of Officers
Presided over by Mr W. S. McCrorie, the annual meeting of the Wanganui branch of the Gallipoli Veterans’ Association was held recently. It was reported that the association had a membership of 51. The meeting agreed to hold a social next May. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr. D. W. Curham; vicepresident, Mr. W. A. Hampton; hon. secretary. Mr. C. L. Lovegrove; hon. auditor, Mr. J. Brock; committee, Messrs Curham, Hampton, T. Brydon, and E. Bevege. During the meeting the question of elderly veterans was discussed and arrangements are to be made for them to meet former wartime comrades.
