Four District Scouts To Attend Jamboree Near Melbourne
Four scouts have been selected to represent the Wanganui county at the Scout Pan-Pacific Jamboree to be held at Yarra Brae, Wonga Park, near Me.bourne, from December 29 to January 9. They are Senior Scout Nigel R. Abraham, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Abraham, of Te Awe Awe Street, Palmerston North a member of the Wanganui Collegiate School group; Senior Air Scout David Turner, son of Mrs. G. A. Turner, of 65 Gonville Avenue, a member of the Gonvil.e Scout Group; Senior Scout Gilbert Hurley, a son of Mr. and Mrs. I. R. ; Hurley, of Ohakune Junction, a member of the Ohakune Scout Group; and ; Senior Scout Percy Taiaroa, of Raetihi, a member of the Raetihi Scout Group. . , . The name of Miss Shirley A. Wilson, of the Glasgow Eagles (Ward s Ownl, has gone forward with a recommendation that she be included in tne token contingent of lady cub- , masters. i The contingent will go to Australia lin two groups of 49, accompanied by Scouters and a Small group of lady I cubmasters. Both parties will travel 'by sea. The cost of the trip will be about 160 a boy.
