G Connolly, leader of the New Zealand delegation to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference, met the King and Queen at a sherry party given by Their Majesties to receive the delegates to the Parliamentary Conference and staff and advisers attending the Commonwealth Conference, he told Their Majesties that he was looking forward to seeing them next in his own electorate of Dunedin Central. “If anyone in Dunedin Central runs into difficulties,” said Mr. Connolly, ‘they get into touch with me, and i hope Your Majesties will do the same “You must leave us your telephone number, Mr. Connolly,” said the Queen, smiling.
