Tourists Are Britain's Best Trade Medium
LONDON, Oct 28 (Rec. 8 pm).— Britain, in the past year, earned more from her tourist trade than any other European country, said the chairman of the Travel Association, Lord Hacking. Of the total influx into Britain during the first nine months of 410,000 visitors. 86,600 were Americans Tourist receipts so far for 1948 were £40,000,000.
Lord Hacking said Britain is expecting 560,000 visitors in 1949,
