The Wanganella Will Be Moved Today
WELLINGTON, Last Night <PA).--Final arrangements to move the Wanganella from the Floating Dock have been made and tomorrow alter 283 days on the dock she is to be moved if all goes well, to a berth at the dock wharf in tire morning. Ihe dock will be partially submerged and tests wil be made of the hull of tne shin for leakage. About 2 p.m. the Wanganella will be moved from the dock to the berth where she will complete her reconstruction. Much work is still to be done and no estimate of the time it will take or the date on which the vesel is finally to sail for Sydney could be given today. All work on the interior of the ship is to be completed and final fittings for the holds are still to be installed. Sea trials will be made in several weeks’ time. The Wanganella is expected to spend about a day in Cook Strait on her trials.
