Maori Child Killed
by Motor 1 ruck HASTINGS, Last Night (PA).—A 2i-year-old Maori child was run over anti killed by a truck wnich was oeing bacxea at Morea station on the Hastings-Elsthorpe Road this afternon. He was Renata Fere, son oi Mr. jueo Walker Fere, Farm labourer. The truck had brought a load ol shearing gear to Morca station and had stopped at the Here residence. Some time later it was decided to shift the truck and Morehu Haafielu aged 17. did so. He moved the heavy vehicle about 10 feet. and. on alighting, found the child had been run over by the rear wheel and was dead.
