SYDNEY, Oct 10 (Recd 7.5 pm).— Torrential rain which washed out part of the track made an unpleasant day’s racing at Randwick yesterday. The start of the lirst race, when one side of the barrier jammed, blocking five horses, was an omen for the In the Clibborn Handicap the Midstream colt Snowstream stayed in seventh place through most of the race, moved up to second and then racnj clear to win easily. The New Zealand-bred Count Cyrano tailed the field early but in a strong finishing effort was able to beat all but the winner. The outsider Bolivia almost causefi an upset in the Randwck Plate by staying with the leader. Dark Marne, and then getting his nose in front with half a furlong Io go. only to be beaten on the post bv Silver Link.
