RUGBY GATE TAKINGS
Season May Be A Record Gate takings to date were £250 in excess of the total for the corresponding period last season, the treasurer (NJr. E. Barnett) told delegates to the Wanganui Rugby Union management committee at their meeting last night. If his estimation of £6OO as gate receipts for all remaining matches in Wanganui this year were realised, then the grand total for this season would be in the vicinity of £3OOO. The chairman (Mr. J. Moye) confirmed that this figure would set an all-time record for Wanganui Rugby gate takings.
