FRESH ISSUE OF CAPITAL BY WOOLWORTHS A cable received by the Wellington Stock Exhange states that Woolworths Ltd. board has approved of the issue, at a premium of Ils, of 558,250 ordinary shares of 5s each, to be offered to ordinary shareholders registered on July 21, 1948, in a proportion of one new share for each ten ordinary shares then held. The terms of the issue are: 16s per share in cash on application, to be received before November 30, 1948. Shares not applied for by that date, together with fractions, will be sold by the directors and the surplus proceeds paid to lhe shareholders concerned. The new shares rank equally with existing ordinary shares in respect of ordinary dividends declared after November 30, 1948. The transfer books will be closed on July 21, 1948.
