Details Of Voting In Queen Alexandra Band Junior Talent Quest
Much interest is being taken in the junior talent quest which is bemg conducted in Wanganui by tne Queen Alexander Band as part of the campaign to raise funds for new instruments. The following are the first four placings in the two sections conducted at the concert in the Opera House last Sunday night (figures indicate number of votes received from the public):—
12 years and under: Walter Benson, 71; Russell Baker, 67; Janet Butter. 61: Janis Mosen. 61. Under 17 years: Pamela Mosen. 125; Jean Abraham. 74; Jacqueline Ferris, 39; ShirleY Davis, 33. The total number of public and special votes received so far by the leading competitors is:— 12 vears. and under: Shirley Sanson. 4111; Janet Butler. 359*7; Peter O’Connor. 3403; Rex Mosen. 3081; Patsy Holdaway, 2321: Walter Benson. 1384. Under 17 vears: Con O'Keeffee, 4303; Alvin Bradshaw. 3478; Jean Abraham. 3115; Garv Wiggins, 1790; Pamela Mosen, 1015; Margaret Larsen. 552 . The grand total to date of public votes is as follows: —
