Professional Boxer Wins In First Bout
(P.A ) Gisborne. June 28. Petei Graham, Gisborne lightv * .lit boxer, made a successful debut as a professional tonight when he defeated on points Vern Toohey, of Palmerston North, over eight rounds. It was a hard, clean punching contest with both boys turning on the fireworks. Graham who had a five-pound weight advantage, attacked aggressively throughout though Toohey fought back gamely.
