Many Immigrants Will Arrive At Wellington From U.K. Next Month
(P.A.) Wellington, June 28. Four liners will disembark more than 1300 passengers from overseas at Wel’ington nejcl month if the present timetables are adhered to. This is the largest number of passengers to arrive in Wellington in one month for a considerable nerioa. A proportion of the passengers are assisted immigrants and approximately 1000 of the arrivals are from the United Kingdom. The greatest, number is travelling in the New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Ran.gitata, which i due to arrive with 800 passengers, including assisted Immigrants, on July 25. The Shaw Savill finer Arawa, with 270 passengers from Britain, South Africa and Australia, is expected on July 13. The Akaroa wifi bring 190 from Britain and Australia and is scheduled to arrive on July 25, the same day as the Rangitata, The smallest quota of 51 is arriving on Thursday next by the steamer Eastern from London.
