One of the few defeats suffered by Ihe scientific Joe Pazandak this season was at the hands of the brilliant bill Kuusisto, Minnesota College wrestling star. It was only a points decision, but it served to show that Kuusisto possessed tremendous speed —the only quality in an opponent which seems to bother Pazandak. Pazandak's specialty stepover toehold is well known and has won him many matches, but in Kuusisto he meets an opponent who besides being an ace flying tackler, also uses a deadly specialty hold known as the “Victory Drop." Kuusisto with a tremendously powerful pair of le~s learnt to tackle on |he football field—where incidentally he also made a big name for himself. Tomorrow night’s bout should provide one of the most rugged and spectacular bouts of the 1948 season. Box plans are at the D. 1. C.
