(P.A.) Wellington, June 25 An attempt will be made this summer to retrieve two-thirds of £150,000 worth of gold bullion remaining > the sunken Niagaia, if a Sydney syndicate of five prepared to undertake the work can be assured of a reasonable return on their capital. Mr. J. E. Johnstone, who was chief diver during the operations which recovered nearly £2,400,000 worth, or 94 per cent, of the Niagara’s gold, is in New Zealand to estimate the position and report on the prospects.
