HADEN—MACNAB. The Wedding was celebrated at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church on Monday, June 21, of Jean, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs- Alex Macnab, Shakespeare Road, Wanganui and Lyon Playfair, youngest son of Mrs. J. Haden and the late Mr. Haden, Takapuna, Auckland. The Rev. A. C. McLean officiated. The decorations in the church were tastefully arranged by Mrs- A. J. Alexander, Miss F. Shaw, Miss Stringfellow (Auckland) and Mrs. Hogg (Wellington). The bride, who entered the church, with her father, wore a lovely gown of white lace. Her tulle veil was held with a coronet of pearls and she carried a bouquet of Chester daisies. The two bridesmaids were Miss Norma Taylor and Miss Seth Russell, whose attractive frocks were of blue turquoise lace. They carried bouquets of pink camelias and roses and wore sprays of white flowers with turquoise blue velvet bows in their hair. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. Brooke Haden (Auckland), as best man, and Mr. Geoff Blennerhasset (Cleveden) cousin of the bridegroom was groomsman. Messrs. Donald and David Macnab and Mr. A- J. Alexander were the ushers. The reception was held at the Rutland Hotel Lounge, where the bride’s, parents and the bridegroom's mother received the guests. Mrs. R. F. Scott, of Bulls, aunt of the bride, made the wedding cake. The young couple will live at Okoia, where Mr. Haden is engaged in farming.
