Staff Changes At Public Works Dept.
Mr. S. McGregor, attached to the Wanganui office of the Public Works Department as highways engineer, has received notification of his transfer on promotion to the Wairoa office. Mr McGregor has been in the Wanganui district about four years, coming here from Taranaki. He was assistant engineer-in-charge on the Okoia-Turakina rail deviation reconstruction job until the transfer to the South Island of Mr E. D. Kaulagher. He then supervised the final stage of the deviation undertaking and has been attached to the department’s Wanganui office since the deviation was handed to the Railways Department. Mr. R. Cowie, P.W-D. engineer on the Lake Alice mental hospital undertaking near Bulls, is being transferred to the Wanganui office.
