CLERK GENERAL DUTIES: Clerical and secretarial dutiesCLERK ACCOUNTING: Pay Ledgers and pay lists; accounting for stores ,etc. EQUIPMENT ASSISTANT: Receipt, issue, etc., of all equipment. Equivalent to a highly trained civilian storeman. NURSING ORDERLY: Training in first aid, general nursing, etc., and ward management. Advanced courses up to State Registration standard for Male Nurses. AIRFIELD SAFETY ASSISTANT: Firefighting (duties similar to fireman in civilian life). Traffic control of aircraft at airfields. COOK: Duties similar to chef in civilian life. Training given n cooking, practical butchery, and serving of meals. SAFETY EQUIPMENT WORKER: Inspection, servicing, etc-, of parachutes. and air-sea rescue apparatus. Initial engagements are up to eight years with the opportunity long-term engagement later.
