Catholic Women’s League

The monthly meeting of the Catholic Women’s League was held last week in St. Joseph’s Hall. Mrs. F. Melody, vice-president, presided in the absence of the president, Mrs. P. B. Luxford. Two visitors from the Wellington branch of the league, Mrs. E. O’Donnell and Miss V. Molloy were welcomed. A priest's place in Army life and on the battlefield was the subject of an interesting address given by Rev. Father Kingan S.M., M.C., spiritual director of the league. Vocal duets by Mesdames Yeatman and Williams and vocal and elocutionary items by Mrs. Alan Brown were enjoyable features of the evening’s pogramme.
