Wanganui Junior Rugby Team Beaten In Close Game
In a closely contested game the Manawatu Rugby junior representative team beat the Wanganui junior representative fifteen by 9 points to 6 at Palmerston North yesterday. L. Head played an outstanding game for Wanganui. The match was played as a curtain-raiser to the representative match between Wellington and Manawatu in Palmerston North. Tries for the winners were scored by Ayres (2) and Lay. For Wanganui. L. Head kicked two penalty goals.
