The United Nations it writes down on a bit of paper—“you must call a truce" —and then adjourns. MILK Dear "Sandy": Wonder if you can trace the froth on the top ot our milk to the colour of the bottles. Ours has been frothltig badly of late. lam unable to suggest a reason, either, for our milk, a week or so back, tasting like a chemist's shop (you know the smell). IT WAS NO FAVOURTE! We called at the Post Office yesterday to pay an Innocent Is 6d and found three queues extending from those counters on the right, into Ridgway Street. If the girl in brown, with the latest hair-do. who had at least a dozen forms and a dozen payments to make, could have read our thoughts—well, never mind. A piano tuner chappie patted us on a shoulder. and said “Cheer up laddie. It looks as though the favourite ".on and you're one of the lucky punters!" At that moment we were glad there was no photo of the favourite, Walter Nash, in the building.
