AUCTIONEER’S NOTE—This is an outstanding dairy herd of excellent type and quality, in good condition, second to fifth calvers. to calve mainly July and August, with a few to coma in in September. Individual Calvin? dates at sale The majority of tha cows have been under official herri test, with individual records up to 500 lbs. of fat. For the 1947-48 season the herd was under official test fop September, 1947, only, 37 cows averaging 49 pounds of fat per head for tha month, with the highest individual record of 88 pounds of fat. The grade Jersey heifers are also an extra choice line which can be recommended. Dairy cattle from the Upper Tutaenui area will shift remarkably well to any district and we can confidently recommend buyers in search of high-produc-ing stock to attend this sale.
