MARTON BAND TO BECOME AN INCORPORATED SOCIETY. Main business transacted at the annual meeting of the Marton Municipal Brass Band on Thursday night, was the consideration of a set of rules for the purpose of .becoming an incorporated society. The band is now to be known as the Marton Municipal Brass Band Incorporated and will be registered as such. Clause by clause the rules were approved. Officers elected were: Patron, Mr. E. B. K. Gordon, M.P.; president, Mr. R. L. Morgan; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. O. Scott, T E Earton, G. H. Denbow, G. C. Grey, F. R. H. Gorringc M Fisher, H. A. Ward, H. . Higham and F. Lovett; secretary, Mr. C. H. Hopping; treasurer, Mr. H. A. Ward; auditor, Mr. G. H. Denbow; committee, president, secretary, treasurer, Messrs. F. Lovett, L. Davies, S Abbott, Mrs. O. Brabyn, Mrs. D. Moloney and five bandsmen to be appointed; delegates to the Manawatu District Brass Bands’ Association, Messrs. D. Moloney and C. J. Gilbert.
