Wanganui Radio Transmitters Hold Monthly Meeting
The main topic of discussion at the monthly meeting of the Wanganui branch of the New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters was the remits to be presented to the annual conference of the association to be held in Wellington next month. Following lengthy debate on the remits two delegates, Mr. A. R. C. Claridge, ZL2CL, and Mr. W. G. Turner, ZL2RR, were appointed representatives of the branch at the conference. Nominations for district councillors to the Dominion executive were discussed, members expressing concern at the apparent inequitable representation of members under the present constitution. The monthly club competition was won by M. McLean, ZL2ADY, of the Collegiate School, the prize being two 6L6 valves donated by Mr. E. G. Gibbs. ZL2RW. The president, of the local club, Mr. A. R. C. Claridge, presided.
