Tasman Passenger Aircraft Diverted Because Of Weather

Auckland, May 2 Carrying a full load of 44 passengers, Australian National Airways Skymaster Arkana bound from Whenuapai to Mascot (Sydney' was diverted this afternoon to Melbourne because of adverse flying conditions on the New South Wales coast. The diversion was only the second in the history of the westward passenger flights over the Tasman, the first being the use by a flyingboat more than a year ago of Rathmines an alternative to Rose Bay (Sydney),
