LEAGUE TRIAL MATCH
(PA.) Wellington, May 2. Under perfect conditions at Newtown Park, the combined Taranaki-Wanganui-South Auckland team conincingly beat Wellington by 36 point .o 12 in a Rugby League trial match for the Australian tour. More resource in the backs, superior physical condition and a more intimate knowedge of positional play enabled the combined team to gain such a margin of victory. The following is the rest of North Island team to play Auckland, on Tuesday, the players chosen being from Wellington and South Auckland: J. Hemi (W.), D. Whitehead <S.A.), N. Evans (W.), O.
