CLEARING SALE AT SILVERHOPE Daigety and Company, Limited (Incorporated in England) report having held a highly successful sale on account of Mr. D. K. Bartlett, Silverhope, Hunterville, on Wednesday last. There was an exceptionally large attendance of buyers from the Taranaki, Wanganui, Rangitikei and Manawatu districts, who were keenly interested in the total offering. The breeding ewes were an outstanding line and tile implements and plant were in exceptionally good order. The breeding flock, which was recognised as one of the best in the district, came forward in excellent order and condition and met with keen competition. The 4-tooth ewes realised 48s 3d and 48s, the 6-tooths 45s 3d, 4-year-olds 355, 5-year-olds 325. Implements and plant also commanded keen competition and the sale, all over, was one of the best held in the district for many years. The following is a range of prices: 4-tooth ewes, 48s 3d, 48s. 6-tooth ewes, 45s 3d; 4-year-old ewes, 355; syear-old ewes, 325.
