Lord Revel Surprises In Nolan Handicap At A.R.C. Meeting
(P.A.) Auckland, March 29. The Auckland Racing Club’s autumn meeting was continued today in line weather. The attendance was 27,500. The track was fast and the totalisator handled £2O« 852 10s, against £206,765 on the second day last year. The total for the two days is £415,402, compared with £401.880, an increase of £4522. The judicial committee today concluded an inquiry into the incident which occurred when the field had covered two furlongs in the Easter Handicap on Saturday, as a result of which several horses had their chances affected- Because of the conflicting nature of the evidence it Was found impossible to charge any particular jockey with any breach of the rules.
