REORGANISATION OF THE 81-ZONAL COUNCIL NOT LIKED BY PREMIERS

Recd. 6.25 p.m. London, Jan. 29. Eight Premiers of the Western German provinces, meeting in Frankfurt, reluctantly agreed to collaborate in the reorganisation of the bizonal Economic Council recently announced by the Anglo-American zonal authorities, says Reuter’s Frankfurt correspondent. The Premiers, however, emphasised that the Germans did not establish the new order, for which the occupying powers “alone bear the responsibility." The Associated Press Frankfurt correspondent says the Germans declared that the reorganisation gave too much power to the Bizonal Council chairman.
