STAFF EXERCISE FOR ARMED SERVICES
N.Z. INVITED TO SfND OFFICERS TOCAMBERLEY NSJ.P.A. Special Correspondent. Recd. 6 p.m. London, Jan. 29 The Chief of the Imperial Staff, Field-Marshal Viscount Montgomery, will hold another combined services staff exercise at Camberley towards the end of .May when high ranking officers of all the British Commonwealth armed services will meet for a week. An invitation has been sent to the G.O.C. of the New Zealand military forces, Major-General McD. Weir, and to the New Zealand Air Force officer of equivalent rank. This year’s exercise will be chiefly concerned with- the latest methods of tropical warfare based upon experience gained in the Burma campaign. It will also include a further study of the uses of atomic and rocket weapons.
