PROBATIONARY TEACHERS APPOINTED FOR YEAR

On the recommendation of the senior inspector (Mr. H. G. Johnston) and the secretary (Mr. G. N. Boulton) the Wanganui Education Board yesterday appointed probationary assistants for the current academic year. Five extra probationary assistants included two ex-servicemen who had been granted leave to take up rehabilitation bursaries and a trainee who has only to serve one term to complete her probationary period.
