A.P.A. ASSOCIATION The Australian Provincial Assurance Association, Ltd., is raising the dividend from 24 per cent, to 3'l per cent the best rate for 19 years. All life business, except personal accident is now embraced in one salutory fund The general iund represents share capital and undistributed profits and personal accident funds. Surplus in the life fund is £54,085, of which £44,407 is allotted to policy bonuses. In the genera! fund, surplus is £23,878, to which Is added the remaining £967? of the life fund surplus. Dividend requires £13,500, and £lB.OOO is placed to reserve, leaving carry forward of £18,912, against £16,856 brought forward. | Total assets are £106,434 higher at £3,465,541. Company shares have increased by £106,434 to £455,492, which I includes £17,747 ordinary and £437,745 preference.
