MURPHY INJURED AN ANKLE
Recd. 1 a.m. London, Jan. 27 Bos Murphy badly twisted an ankle in the first round of the title bout and boxed in acute pain for six rounds. His ankle was X-rayed and put in plaster of paris a few hours after the fight. Murphy said his plans depended on the result of the x-ray. He hoped to fight the European champion, Marcel Cedan, go home for a holiday in May, and eventually try for the world title against the negro, > Ray Robinson.
