LOOKING FORWARD TO VISIT OF THE CANADIANS

LAST SATURDAY'S RESULTS. Wanganui bowlers are looking forward with a great deal of interest to the visit of a party of Canadian bowlers who arrive in the city tomorrow afternoon, and are to be welcomed at a civic reception at Foster's Hotel at 3.30 p.m. All bowlers are invited to attend that reception. On Saturday last Senior and Willis Shield matches were played by the smaller clubs and club fours were resumed by the larger. The wind was tricky in most cases. . Wanganui There was a good attendance at the Wanganui Bowling Club's green on Saturday, when the eighth round of the club fours was played. The greens were in excellent condition, but a strong north westerly wind made accurate play difficult. On Anniversary Day six rinks from Wanganui East paid an all-day visit to the Oroua Club, Feilding. Good weatner and a fast green made the outing very enjoyable. On the day's play Wanganui East won by 28 points, bringing home the cup, whicn Oroua held trom last year. The visitors were welcomed by Mr. W. McLeod, vice-president, and at the end of the day’s play Mr. G. P. Hawkins, vice-president of the Wanganui East Cluo, thanked the Oroua Club for the enjoyable day and also lor its hospitality.
