Next Saturday afternoon, Marton will play Hunterville for the district final for the Rangitikei Cup. Each club will be represented by a rink, home and away. The following will represent the Marton Club: At Hunterville, Brabyn (s), Chapman. Smart. Thomas. At Marton, Ball (s), Jack McDonald, C. Hamer, Jarden. GORSE FIRE The assistance of the Marton Fire Brigade was required to quell a gorse tire which got out of control in Mill Street on Saturday. A property owner there was burning off gorse, but in the strong westerly breeze the fire got out of control.
